Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Video Compares Current/Last-Gen Graphics

As you'd expect, current-gen looks the best.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops III now available, a new graphics comparison video has emerged that shows the differences between the current-generation and last-generation versions of the shooter. The video below, from YouTube channel Candyland, specifically compared Xbox One to Xbox 360. Check it out.

As you'll see, there are major differences spanning more than just lighting and shadow effects. In some cases, interiors of buildings don't have the same elements, color patterns, or background details. One map on the Xbox One versions depicts an approaching sandstorm, which is nowhere to be seen on last-gen.

Black Ops III's Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions were developed by Beenox and Mercenary Technology, not Treyarch, which created the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC editions. Not only do the last-gen versions not look as good, they also run at 30fps, compared to 60fps on current-gen and PC. On top of that, the last-gen editions don't have a single-player campaign and are missing other features, too.
