Back in August of last year, Microsoft unveiled a trio of Xbox Live Arcade games based on board games from across the Atlantic. Sierra Online has announced that gamers will have a chance to do some strategizing in Carcassonne this June. The company did not give any further specifics on the exact date or price of the game.

Carcassonne, named after a French city famous for its high city walls, is a tile-based game that sees players placing plots of terrain on a large board. Only certain tiles can be placed adjacent to others, forming cities, roads, and fields. Sierra Online has not gone into details about the Xbox 360 version of the game.
