The Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is now available on both EA's own Origin as well as Steam. It's also included as part of the Origin Access Premier subscription. It costs $20, and Origin Access Basic members get a 10% discount.

The Remastered Collection includes both Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert, along with their expansion packs Covert Ops, Counterstrike, and The Aftermath. Each game features remastered graphics and textures with 4K support, reworked UI and multiplayer, and a remastered soundtrack from original composer Frank Klepacki. EA has also released its source code under the GPL version 3.0 license, which EA says should open it to the mod community for years.

"Our top priority when developing the Remastered Collection was to make sure the heart of Command & Conquer can be felt from the second you boot up the game," said lead producer Jim Vessella, in the announcement. "We've been working hand-in-hand with the Westwood veterans at Petroglyph to ensure the iconic gameplay remains authentic while adding key features for a modern experience. We could not be more grateful for the C&C community's support during this journey, and especially the feedback from our Community Council which has been integral in bringing this love-letter to life."

EA recently announced EA Access for Steam, as well as plans to bring more EA games to the platform. This is one of those games in its expansion plans, although several big-name EA games like Apex Legends, FIFA 20, and Battlefield V are still exclusive to Origin.
