You can now watch The Simpsons and Shogun in the same app.

Hulu content is now on Disney+. Everyone who is a Disney bundle subscriber, or has individual subscriptions to both Disney+ and Hulu, will now see the Disney+ and Hulu content libraries combined into one catalog on Disney+.

This means you can watch an episode of The Simpsons one minute and switch to an episode of The Bear right after without needing to load into a different app. Disney's content is known for being very family friendly, whereas shows and movies on Hulu can be far more adult in nature, like the recently released TV series Shogun.

Hulu's live TV offerings are not available in the new Disney+ app. Not every Hulu show is making it onto Disney+, though, as Modern Family and Love Island are among those left out due to licensing deals, according to Variety.

Now that Disney+ and Hulu content are in the same app, the platform's algorithm will recommend titles from across both catalogs. You can check out a hype trailer for the launch below, featuring Disney and Hulu characters colliding.

Disney bundle plans start at $10/month, while standalone Disney+ and Hulu plans will continue to be available going forward. If you only subscribe to Disney+, the Hulu content will still show up in your Disney+ library, and a landing page will try to upsell you to the bundle price.

The Disney+ with Hulu bundle costs $10/month for the basic plan with ads or $20/month with no ads.

Disney Entertainment president Aaron LaBerge said this is Disney +'s most "significant technical, operational, and product evolution" since launch.

Coinciding with this change, the Disney+ logo has been updated to be more "refined" and featuring a new color palette. The sound that plays when the app opens is different, too, with a new orchestral piece from Ludwig Goransson; he just won an Oscar for Oppenheimer and also composes the music for The Mandalorian.
