Dragon Empires delayed

Codemasters' fantasy MMOPRG won't take flight until Fall 2004.

UK-based publisher Codemasters has quietly pushed back the release date of its upcoming massive multiplayer online role-playing game Dragon Empires. According to the FAQ on its official Web site, the game, previously scheduled for a Q2 2004 release, is now slated for an "Autumn 2004" release.

When it is finally released, Dragon Empires will join a very crowded fantasy MMORPG market. Like other games, it will feature multiple races and classes and will offer plenty of player-versus-player combat. Dragon Empires will also make players swear allegiance to one of several clans, who will occasionally wage all-out wars against one another. GameSpot's preview has more on the game.
