"How do you explain it," Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told the affiliate. "Well, you can't explain that; my deputies know that they shouldn't have been playing Wii while they were involved in that search warrant."

The raid involved 16 detectives pulled from the sheriff's office and three area police departments, with a total cost to taxpayers of $4,000. An internal investigation has been launched, and Judd told the affiliate he will wait to see its conclusions before deciding on disciplinary measures.

"It's an embarrassment to the detectives involved, and it's an embarrassment to the organization," Judd said. "But you know what? We employ 1,800 people and not one of them is perfect. We all make mistakes. They made a mistake."
