Having already established itself on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, Konami has announced that it's bringing DDR to the Xbox 360 with Dance Dance Revolution Universe. Players can anticipate more of the same classic four-step gameplay, with 65 new songs, exclusive dance remixes, licensed songs, and more.

DDR Universe is set to feature enhanced versions of classic gameplay modes such as the edit, workout, quest, and party modes, as well as the new "how to play," trial, and super easy modes, each of which is designed to make the fast and furious rhythm action more accessible for first-timers. DDR Universe is also set to debut the new relay mode, which invites groups of players to tag-team the dance mat for some extended marathon dance sessions. Like the DDR Ultramix games for the original Xbox, DDR Universe will feature Xbox Live support for online competitions and 360-exclusive downloadable song packs.

Konami has also stated that DDR Universe will feature support for up to four dancers, which begs the question as to whether the dance mats will be wireless or if they will make use of the Xbox 360's standard USB ports. You can expect to see Dance Dance Revolution Universe on the Xbox 360 this fall.
