E3 boss lands at IDG
Longtime exec takes post with International Data Group; will run trade shows for the global publisher and event owner.
Mary Dolaher, a top executive within the Electronic Software Association (ESA), the company that owns and operates the E3 Media and Business Summit, has left the organization and taken a post with International Data Group (IDG). Dolaher leaves a show she has worked on since its inception, at various times as a contractor but more recently as the event's lead organizer and deal maker, reporting to ESA president Doug Lowenstein.
IDG is the the owner and producer of the MacWorld trade show, its premier event, which takes place in San Francisco each January. Dolaher's return to IDG reunites the executive and an organization with which she has a 15-year track record.
In her new post at IDG World Expo, she will oversee IDG's array of more than 100 trade shows in the US, which includes Macworld Conference & Expo, LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, LinuxWorld OpenSolutions Summit, SaaScon, and GridWorld.
