It didn't take long for a group of renegade designers from EA Canada to land on its feet. Just one day after they left the employ of the EA studio, Phil Weeks, Russell Rice, Steve Tolin, Ryan Bedard, and Brian Tolin founded Deep Fried Entertainment. While the official founding took place last June, the company waited until this week to broadcast the news. Deep Fried Entertainment will focus on the handheld marketplace and is already pitching publishers with a Nintendo DS prototype. "Some very promising negotiations are in the works," DFE COO Brenda Bailey told GameSpot. The new studio is also located in Vancouver.
