Earlier this year, PC gamers got another chance to liberate Europe with the release of Ubisoft's critically acclaimed shooter Brothers in Arms: The Road to Hill 30. Those considering buying its follow-up, Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood, can now sample the sequel via a demo, released today.

Available at GameSpot DLX, the 630MB demo includes some of the first chapters from the full game, including a mission through the town of Carentan. The skirmish mode, which sports three different skirmish types, is also available, with one mission playable solo or in co-op via LAN only. Also included are a variety of extras, including biographical information about some of the real-life soldiers featured in the game as well as historical documents and pictures.

Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood will ship for the PC on October 6 alongside the Xbox version of the game. A PlayStation 2 edition will be released on October 18. All versions of the game are rated M for Mature and will retail for $49.99. GameSpot's previous coverage has all the latest on-site intel about the game.
