Elder Scrolls Online Offering Free ESO Plus Membership Benefits Right Now
For a limited time, you can get most of the benefits of the paid membership for free on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Like The Lord of the Rings Online before it, Bethesda's free-to-play fantasy MMO The Elder Scrolls Online is letting people play extra content at no extra cost as part of a special promotion to help people enjoy their time indoors during COVID-19 lockdowns.
Now until April 27, everyone can get the benefits of ESO Plus, which includes access to the game's paid expansions and more. For the promo period, you can play all of ESO's DLC packs at no cost, including Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Shadows of the Hist, Morrowind, Horns of the Reach, Clockwork City, Dragon Bones, Summerset, Wolfhunter, Murkmire, Wrathstone, Scalebreaker, Dragonhold, and Harrowstorm. Each of these includes new zones, quests, and dungeons.
Players are also getting a 10 percent increase on XP, and a gift of a craft bag that can be used for unlimited storage of crafting materials. ESO is also giving away double bank space, double furnishings for houses, and double transmute crystal storage.
ESO Plus also comes with a monthly stipend of in-game currency, but this will not be available for people who play during the promotional period. You can check out the ESO website to see a full rundown of what's included in the ESO Plus subscription.
ESO Plus normally costs $15 USD/month. The game is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is still going strong with more than 13.5 million registered accounts, and developer ZeniMax Online Studios has plans to support the game in 2020 and for years to come.
Here's how to activate your free ESO Plus trial:
- Log in to The Elder Scrolls Online.
- Navigate to the Crown Store.
- Select the ESO Plus tab.
- Select "Free Trial"
