Nintendo Switch Exclusive Endless Ocean: Luminous Is Up For Preorder
Endless Ocean: Luminous launches on May 2 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
Endless Ocean: Luminous was revealed last month during a Nintendo Direct, and it'll be launching later this spring on May 2. The Nintendo-published exclusive is the third title in the Endless Ocean series and the successor to Blue World from 2010. It'll see you diving into mysterious waters as you explore thriving ecosystems filled with more than 500 unique creatures and countless secrets to discover. What makes it most exciting, however, is that you can go exploring with up to 29 other players, which should make it a unique multiplayer experience.
Endless Ocean: Luminous preorders are now open at most retailers--and as you'd expect for a Switch exclusive, there aren't any bonuses and only one edition to choose from. Here's a quick look at everything you need to know before reserving a copy.
Endless Ocean: Luminous preorder bonuses
There are currently no preorder bonuses for Endless Ocean: Luminous. Nintendo exclusives rarely get official preorder bonuses, and that seems to hold true for this upcoming release. Retailers sometimes offer exclusive bonuses for Switch games. This seems like a good opportunity to offer a cute plushie as a bonus, but alas, that probably won't happen.
Preorder Endless Ocean: Luminous Standard Edition
$50
This is the only edition of Endless Ocean: Luminous up for preorder. It includes the base game and a seven-day trial code for Nintendo Switch Online. Note that this trial isn't explicitly advertised at Amazon, but the bonus is likely included with your purchase. That should give you enough to check out its multiplayer features and determine if you want to extend your online membership. It's also nice that the game is priced at $50 instead of the normal $60 (or even $70).
If you decide to extend your Switch Online membership, you'll find a bunch of options at Best Buy, including a 12-month plan for $20 and the Switch Online + Expansion Pack for $50.
The standard Switch Online subscription includes access to a library of classic SNES, NES, and Game Boy games. The Expansion Pack tier includes all of that plus a growing library of N64, Game Boy Advance, and Sega Genesis games. You also get extra content for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Both tiers unlock online multiplayer for many Nintendo games as well as cloud saves, which comes in handy.
