Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is one of the most-anticipated games of 2023, and the action-adventure was showcased during The Game Awards on December 8. During the presentation, we got our first look at gameplay from the title as well as a confirmed March 17 release date.

The trailer shows an older, more grizzled Cal Kestis as he tries to stay one step ahead of the Empire. A host of new enemies make brief appearances, including one particularly hulking alien in full armor, but nothing more is revealed about them--not even their names. There are some friendly faces as well, including the returning Cere Junda and a new ally named Bode Acuna (played by Noshir Dalal).

Now Playing: Star Wars: Jedi Survivor Gameplay Trailer | The Game Awards 2022

We do get to see some of Cal's heightened Jedi abilities, however, including a new lightsaber stance where he wields two sabers at once for quick, hard-hitting offense. A new mobility option--a grappling hook--was also shown as Cal used his jumping and Force Dash abilities to grapple onto a faraway pole and swing over a deep chasm.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is scheduled to arrive on March 17, 2023 and takes place five years after Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Once again, we'll play as Cal in his continued journey--now as a full-fledged Jedi to fight back against the Galactic Empire in the years following Order 66.
