Deep Silver today released the first gameplay trailer for upcoming Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC zombie game Dead Island 2, and it's a bloodbath. The minute-long "Sunshine and Slaughter" trailer gives us a look at the game's weapons, brutal combat system, and sunny California environment.
Unlike the original Dead Island (2011) and sequel Dead Island Riptide (2013), which were developed by Polish studio Techland, Dead Island 2 is currently in development at Spec Ops: The Line studio Yager.
Dead Island 2 is not the only new Dead Island project in the works. Deep Silver is also working on a budget-priced stylized stealth game called Escape Dead Island for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. There is also the MOBA Dead Island Epidemic and a Dead Island movie, which was recently resurrected.
