GOG Kicks Off Big RPG Sale To Celebrate Baldur's Gate 2's Anniversary

The seminal role-playing game Baldur's Gate II turns 20 this week, and GOG is celebrating by hosting a big sale on RPGs. From now until September 28 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET, you can save on a wide variety of RPGs for PC, from classics like Baldur's Gate (of course) to modern hits such as Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Pillars of Eternity.

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced edition and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced edition are discounted to $10 each during the sale. It's a great time to catch up on the classic series ahead of Baldur's Gate III's early access release later this month. You can also save on Icewind Dale: Enhanced edition ($10) and Icewind Dale 2 Complete ($5), another series that's definitely worth checking out if you want to play some games that influenced the role-playing genre as a whole.

Larian Studios' wonderful Divinity: Original Sin series harkens back to classic PC RPGs while moving the genre forward. The Enhanced edition of the first game is down to $14, while Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive edition--one of the best RPGs in recent memory--is slashed to $18. You can also pick up a pair of Original Sin's predecessors, Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity, for only 59 cents each. Meanwhile, Pillars of Eternity's Definitive edition is discounted to only $20.

Other highlights from the sale include Outward for $16, Sacred 2 Gold for $3.74, Warhammer: Chaosbane for $17.49, and Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced edition for $10.
