At long last, Granblue Fantasy: Relink has a release date. Announced during Gamescom's Opening Night Live showcase, the action-RPG is slated to release for PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on February 1, 2024. In addition to this release date, developer Cygames also shared a new trailer for the upcoming title featuring large-scale battles and a closer look at the game's combo-driven gameplay.

Revealed back in 2016, Granblue Fantasy: Relink is a fast-paced action-RPG that was created as a partnership between Cygames and Bayonetta developer Platinum Games. In 2019, however, Platinum Games announced it was no longer working on the project, leaving the rest of the development to be handled internally by Cygames. Earlier this year, Cygames announced Granblue Fantasy: Relink would be releasing in late 2023. However, it seems the studio needed just a bit longer to wrap things up.

Though Relink is set in the world same world as Granblue Fantasy, the game will largely feature new characters. Additionally, Relink is intended as more of a small-scale, cooperative experience, with four-person multiplayer noted as a key feature. However, for those looking to enjoy the experience solo, you can elect to have your companions controlled by AI.

Preorders for Granblue Fantasy: Relink are scheduled to go live August 22 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET.
