A single-player demo is available for Grounded, Obsidian Entertainment's upcoming survival game, for some Xbox Insiders and through Steam's Summer Game Festival, the developer announced. Grounded is a backyard survival game where players get shrunk down and must survive, either alone or in multiplayer.

The 30-minute demo is available now through June 22 and members of the Xbox Insider program (which is free for everyone to sign up) will need to check the program's hub to see if they have been accepted to participate. The Steam version of the demo is available to everyone.

"Over the course of one in-game day, this experience will allow players to craft tools and weapons, build structures, and survive against the various perils of being small," director of communications Mikey Dowling said in an Xbox Wire post.

Dowling also said that while the demo is limited to 30-minutes, it can be restarted and replayed during its availability.

Grounded will enter Xbox Game Preview as part of Xbox Game Pass and Steam Early Access on July 28. The Steam Summer Game Festival includes demos for 30XX, Fallen Angel, Kine, Shing, Spiritfarer, Unto The End, and many more.
