How to Watch The 2024 Xbox Developer Direct

Indiana Jones, Hellblade 2, Ara: History Untold, and Avowed headline the first Developer Direct episode of 2024.

Comments

Microsoft is kicking off 2024 with a new Developer Direct livestream, giving fans a preview of its biggest upcoming games. If you're interested in seeing what's coming to Xbox consoles and PC in the near-future, here's a look at when you can tune in and what you can expect to see.

When to watch

The January 2024 Developer Direct livestream will kick off at the following times on January 18:

  • 12 PM PT
  • 3 PM ET
  • 8 PM GMT
  • 9 PM CET
  • 6 AM AEST (January 19)

How to watch

You'll have several options to choose from, as the Developer Direct will be livestreamed across the official Xbox and Bethesda YouTube channels, Twitch, and Facebook. For the hearing-impaired, there'll be a Twitch stream with ASL as well.

What to expect

The big draw of the Developer Direct will be a first look at Indiana Jones. Wolfenstein studio MachineGames is developing this new adventure starring everyone's favorite Nazi-punching archeologist and Microsoft has confirmed over "10 minutes of game and developer insights" will be seen during the stream.

A deep dive into Obsidian's upcoming first-person fantasy game Avowed will also be seen, Oxide Games will show off its 4X strategy game Ara: History Untold, and Ninja Theory's Senua's Saga: Hellblade II will also be in the spotlight. The release date for Hellblade 2 has reportedly been leaked ahead of the Developer_Direct, so we might get some official confirmation from Microsoft on when the game is expected to launch.

Once the event is over, you can stick around for a dedicated presentation on the next chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online. If you're interested in seeing what's in store for Diablo 4, it'll have its own live stream before the Developer_Direct begins, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET.
