DC Studios co-head James Gunn has responded to a silly rumor that the porn star Johnny Sins will play Lex Luthor in the upcoming Superman: Legacy film.

No one ever thought Johnny Sins, whose real name is Steve Wolfe, would play Luthor, but this is the internet and people love a good rumor. Gunn had a pretty great response, saying to a fan on Twitter, "Oh my God, you can't possibly believe that."

Johnny Sins is bald and so is Luthor, and that fact helped someone start an unfounded rumor that the porn star might play the Superman villain in the upcoming film. But it's not happening.

In terms of who might really play Luthor, it's been reported that Nicholas Hoult is in the running for the villain. Jesse Eisenberg played Luthor in Justice League. Before that, Kevin Spacey played him in Superman Returns. And before that, Gene Hackman played the villain in multiple Superman movies.

David Corenswet will play Superman in 2025's Superman Legacy, with Rachel Brosnahan portraying Lois Lane. Gunn is directing the movie and co-writing it.

The next DC movies hitting theaters are Blue Beetle (August 18) and then Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (December 25). A sequel to Joker is coming to theaters in 2024.
