After a long hiatus, Leisure Suit Larry is set to start swingin' again. VU Games announced today that Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude has gone gold and is on track for its October 5 release.

The update to the classic Leisure Suit Larry franchise will raise some eyebrows with its raunchy adult humor. "Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude lives up to its namesake with raucous humor and outlandish scenarios, all in the name of getting Larry a little lovin'," said VU Games executive vice president Michael Pole.

Developed by High Voltage Software, Magna Cum Laude follows the concupiscent antics of Larry Lovage, nephew of original protagonist Larry Laffer, as he scours his college campus for coeds. The story revolves around Larry's quest to win a reality-TV dating show to spice up his love life. Along the way, gamers will tour 17 different locations; participate in minigames such as quarters, wet T-shirt contests, and tapper; and engage in conversation using 90,000 words of dialogue.

The game will carry a $49.95 tag for the Xbox and PS2, a $29.99 tag for the PC, and a Mature rating. For more information, check out GameSpot's latest preview.
