Late last year, EA management indicated that one of the publisher's big games would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Mass Effect: Andromeda is likely not that game.

Producer Mike Gamble told Stevivor (via DualShockers) that BioWare is not planning to bring the game to the Switch, but if people really want it on the console, the developer will consider it.

"Yeah, not right now, no," he said about a Switch version of Andromeda. "We're not planning on it. If the Switch launches and everyone's just yammering for Mass Effect, who knows. We never want to close doors like that."

Mass Effect 3 was released for Wii U, so this might be kind of a bummer for fans of the spacefaring franchise hoping to play the newest release on Nintendo's new console.

Andromeda comes out in Spring 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. In the Stevivor interview, Gamble said BioWare will discuss the PS4 Pro enhancements for the game "in January or February." According to the report, the game will be enhanced for Project Scorpio as well in some manner.

It won't be long before we learn a lot more about the Switch. Nintendo will announce the system's price, specs, and launch lineup during a briefing scheduled for January 12.
