Castlevania: Nocturne serves as a spin-off to Netflix's original Castlevania animated seriess, which concluded its four-season run in 2021. The new series will focus on the younger Richter Belmont--a pivotal character in several Castlevania games and a fan-favorite among hardcore Castlevania fans. The series debuts Thursday, September 28th on Netflix.

Nocturne takes place during the French Revolution where the counter-revolutionary aristocracy has made an alliance with a terrifying Vampire Messiah, who promises an army of vampires and other children of the night that will crush the revolution and enslave humanity. Annette, a sorceress from the Caribbean, seeks out Richter Belmont, the last descendant of the long-fabled family of vampire hunters, to lead the resistance.

Richter's appearance has him sporting his trademark blue outfit in both styles of what Ayima Kojima gave him in Symphony of the Night and his shonen anime appearance that was created by Kouji Yamada, Toshiharu Furukawa, and Reika Bando for Rondo of Blood, Richter's first appearance. The trailer continues the Castlevania tradition of giving fans fast-paced action and buckets of blood.

Netflix is giving eager fans an early screening of Castlevania: Nocturne through virtual showcase DROP 01 one day early on September 27. The showcase will feature surprise announcements and never-before-seen, sneak peeks.

The global livestream event will be broadcast on September 27, 9 AM PST / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST on Netflix Twitch. You can also catch DROP 01 on TUDUM.com/Drop01 and the following official Netflix Youtube channels: YouTube.com/Netflix / YouTube.com/NetflixBrasil / YouTube.com/NetflixIndiaOfficial

Castlevania: Nocturne comes from Castlevania alum Kevin Kolde and Clive Bradley, who also serves as creator/writer. Sam Deats and Adam Deats share directing duties. The series is produced by Project 51 Productions and animated once again by Powerhouse Animation Studios.
