Players got a closer look at the upcoming Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 via a new gameplay trailer which debuted at 2023's The Game Awards, but one thing fans of the Hellblade franchise didn't get was a release date.

The game appears to feature a lot of gritty, gory, high-impact combat, with protagonist Senua fighting like hell against a variety of delightfully disturbing enemies. Some breathe fire, some swing massive weapons, and almost all of them appear absolutely enormous compared to Senua's small stature. The game's high-quality graphics and animation were on full display throughout the trailer, with cinematic, cutscene-esque camera angles adding a unique look to the game's combat encounters.

The trailer once again confirmed that the game would debut for Xbox and PC sometime in 2024, but no concrete date was announced. Given the fact that the game was announced back in 2019, players were undoubtedly hoping for a launch date announcement at the annual gaming awards show, but it seems developer Ninja Theory is keeping things under wraps for now. What we do know is that Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 will be coming to Game Pass upon launch.
