Monte Cristo Multimedia has released a new video trailer for Platoon: The 1st Airborne Cavalry Division in Vietnam, its upcoming real-time strategy game in development at Digital Reality. The new trailer runs for approximately one minute and shows off some of the game's different units and locations.

Platoon is built on Digital Reality's proprietary Walker game engine, which is also being used in the developer's 3D space strategy game Haegemonia. In Platoon, players will assume the role of a platoon commander in the Vietnam War, and they will control their squads in a series of missions against the Vietcong. As players progress through the game, they will gain access to new weapons and specialists. Monte Cristo recently announced that the game will feature the license for Oliver Stone's Oscar-winning war film Platoon.

Platoon is scheduled for release in November. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and watch the new trailer linked below.
