New On Disney Plus In January 2024: Percy Jackson, Marvel's Echo

With January and the New Year right around the corner, Disney+ has released its schedule of all the new content coming to the streaming service next month. Starting January 1, viewers can look forward to a lineup of titles set to debut throughout the first month of the year.

Percy Jackson fans will be able to continue following along with additional episodes of the series (premiering weekly on Wednesdays). The adaptation of the popular fantasy novels "tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who's just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus."

For your monthly Marvel fix, catch the long-awaited Echo series on Disney+ starting January 9. This TV-MA series, created by Brian Michael Bendis and David Mack, delves into the titular Marvel Comics, who is often associated with street-level heroes like Luke Cage and Daredevil. Introduced in the MCU through Disney+'s Hawkeye, Echo is portrayed by Alaqua Cox. Additionally, if you're interested in the creative process behind the show, Assembled: The Making of Echo will be available for streaming on January 31.
