Ninja Gaiden 3 on the Move
Tecmo Koei tapping PlayStation 3 motion-control system for the latest installment in its hyperviolent ninja-action series.
Tecmo Koei announced today that Ninja Gaiden 3--the latest entry in its popular and long-running action series--will feature PlayStation Move support, allowing would-be ninjas to control actions via their own real-life movements.
Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayashi said in a statement that the PlayStation Move compatibility will "bring players closer to the game's protagonist, Ryu Haybusa," which falls in line with the studio's attempts to deliver a more visceral action experience. Additionally, the game will support all PlayStation Move peripherals. It remains to be seen how the individual peripherals will be used to control Ryu's various actions.
In addition to motion control support, Ninja Gaiden 3 will carry other features that are new to the series, including online multiplayer functionality that supports up to eight players. The game is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012. For more information on Ninja Gaiden 3, be sure to check out GameSpot's most recent preview.
