Persona 5 Royal Steelbook Edition On Sale For Best Price Yet, Includes Free Funko Pop
The fantastic Atlus RPG for PS4 is $35 at GameStop today only, and it comes with a free Funko Pop.
One of the best games released so far this year is featured in GameStop's Deals of the Day. Persona 5 Royal is down to $35, and GameStop is also throwing in a free Fox Funko Pop. It also happens to be the steelbook launch edition, so you'll get a cool case, too. While the deal is technically available until 9 PM PT / 12 AM ET tonight, it seems likely it'll sell out before the day is over. If interested, you should probably act fast.
Persona 5 Royal, which acts as the definitive version of Atlus' heralded 2017 RPG, released at the end of March. Multiple retailers have had it discounted to $40 in recent weeks, but $35 is the best price we've seen. Plus, the Fox Funko Pop has a $12 value and is exclusive to GameStop.
For new players, Persona 5 Royal is the obvious choice if you're looking to dive into one of the best JRPGs of this generation. Even for those who already played through the original, however, Persona 5 Royal has enough new content to make a return visit worthwhile. It adds a new semester, Palace, and key characters that play significant roles while also refining the overarching story and gameplay.
The ambitious overhaul impressed us thoroughly, as it earned a rare 10/10 in GameSpot's Persona 5 Royal review. "As P5R comes to a close, it tries to ease you into its end with heartfelt scenes, some new and some familiar," editor Michael Higham wrote. "But in doing so, it only makes it harder to say goodbye again. Persona 5 Royal is many things: a collection of small inspiring stories, an ambitious harrowing journey with some good friends, a stunning visual and auditory experience, a resounding call to action. By refining what was already great and building on its best qualities with a brilliant new story arc, Persona 5 Royal asserts itself as an unforgettable and empowering RPG that should be recognized as one of the best games of our time."
