A bunch of Nintendo Switch Pokemon titles are on sale at Walmart in honor of Pokemon Day earlier this week. The most notable discount is to Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which is down to just $40 for the physical and digital versions (was $60). Despite releasing back in Janurary 2022, Pokemon Legends: Arceus rarely goes on sale, so this price drop is a great chance to grab one of the most unique Pokemon games on Switch.

While Pokemon Legends: Arceus is built upon the mainline series' core loop of capturing, training, and battling monsters, the game evolves the formula in a number of ways, including real-time catching and large-scale boss battles. It's also set hundreds of years before the mainline entries, giving the game a unique atmosphere compared to the rest of the series. Earlier this week, Nintendo and Game Freak announced the next game in the Legends series Pokemon Legends Z-A, during the Pokemon Presents 2024 showcase. The new game is set in Lumiose City from Pokemon X/Y and is planned to launch in 2025.

Several more of the latest Pokemon Switch releases are also discounted at Walmart, including New Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, and Shining Pearl, which are just $40 each. You can also snag Pokemon Scarlet for $50 and Pokemon Violet for $51. All of these games normally cost $60, and the discounts are only available for a limited time, so grab them while you can. Also, be sure to check our roundup of all the Pokemon Day sales for even more discounts on games, merch, and more.
