Pokemon Scarlet And Violet's first expansion, The Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask, is less than a month away. After the Pokemon Presents video earlier this month revealed new information about this new adventure, today The Pokemon Company spilled the tea on another new addition: Poltchageist, the Matcha Pokemon, will debut next month as well.

This new Pokemon, despite bearing a resemblance to the Galar region's tea-based Sinistea, is billed as a completely separate species of Pokemon. Poltchageist's reveal trailer featured a full backstory for the creature, which showed how it manifested through a tea master's obsession over perfecting his tea ceremony.

Poltchageist boasts a unique ability, Hospitality, which heals a small amount of its ally's HP when it enters a two-on-two battle. According to the game's lore, the creature is said to "take up residence in old houses where it is sometimes known to patch up broken objects."

The jar-like Poltchageist is the latest new Pokemon announced for The Teal Mask, where it will join Dipplin--a candy apple Pokemon revealed during the Pokemon Presents--and four new legendary Pokemon. Three of those legendaries--Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti--are known as the Loyal Three, while Ogrepon is wearing the titular Teal Mask.

Pokemon Scarlet And Violet is available now on Nintendo Switch. The Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask will launch September 13, while Part 2: The Indigo Disk is scheduled to launch this winter.
