From April 17 to May 17, Microsoft is hosting an international competition to determine the world’s best Project Gotham 2 player. US and Canadian racers can sign up for the tournament at the North American Xbox Live page, while European gamers can sign up through their regional Xbox.com URL. To qualify, Xbox Live members must race through the game’s Princes Street East track in Edinburgh, Scotland. The racers with the best times--two from the United States, two from Canada, and three from Europe--will represent their region in the finals. Each will get an all-expenses-paid trip to Charlotte, North Carolina, for the championship, as well as a pass to the NASCAR Coca Cola 600 and a performance by the band Autopilot Off. The overall winner will walk away with a $5,000 prize, a one-year subscription to Xbox Live, and the chance to play some Gotham against the band's members. The tourney is being sponsored by Target, which is providing discounts on Project Gotham 2 at its stores.
