Sony has revealed that one of its PlayStation Plus Premium/Extra games for April is also a day-one release: Tales of Kenzera: ZAU. The debut game from actor Abubakar Salim's studio, Surgent Studios, will come to PlayStation Plus' Premium/Extra library when it releases on April 23.

Tales of Kenzera: ZAU is a 2.5D metroidvania action-adventure inspired by Bantu tales, which follows the story of protagonist Zau as he contends with grief following the death of a loved one. GameSpot writer Kurt Indovina previewed the upcoming game earlier this year, praising Tales of Kenzera's cathartic handling of its subject matter, as well as its solid 2.5D metroidvania gameplay.
