The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR-enabled version of Rez will be released in October, developer Enhance Games announced today.

Specifically, Rez Infinite will launch on October 13, the same day that PS VR arrives in stores for $400. A price for Infinite was not announced, but when revealing the game in December, Enhance CEO Tetsuya Mizuguchi said on the PlayStation Blog it would launch "at a price that we can all feel good about."

Now Playing: Rez Infinite - Debut Trailer

You won't need PS VR to play the game; a standard, 2D version will still be available for those who wish to play it that way. The normal version runs at 1080p and 60 FPS with support for 7.1 surround sound.

Infinite is an enhanced version of Rez, which was originally released for Dreamcast and PS2 back in 2001. Since then, it was ported to Xbox 360 as Rez HD in 2008, with this new version being the first we've seen of the game in almost a decade.
