Online gaming company Simutronics will set up a Web site of its own beginning this July. Gamers will have direct Internet access to the comany's three titles - GemStone III, DragonRealms, and CyberStrike - through a subscription-based program. Those games had previously been available only through commercial online services including America Online, CompuServe, and Prodigy.

Gamers will pay US$9.95 a month for Gemstone III or DragonRealms; CyberStrike gameplay will be priced at US$7.95 per month. Premium subscriptions (that let players develop multiple characters and receive "priority VIP treatment" in upcoming online gaming events) go for additional US$20 per month.

Simutronics claims its titles currently garner more than two million hours of paid gameplay each month.
