SNK Still 'King of Fighters'

While SNK's latest chapter in the King of Fighters series has yet to hit arcades, there's information circulating about the title in the Japanese gaming press. Lately, a few new characters were revealed, and the game's options are quickly becoming known.

First, there are four versions of gameplay - Special Edit Mode lets you pick three fighters for your very own team. Single Entry Mode is a one-on-one battle between the character of your choice and the computer. Advanced Mode is a King of Fighters '96 style battle, and Extra Mode is a battle similar to those from the '94 and '95 updates to the game.
