Sony has called an entry for The Last Guardian posted to E3Insider--the official website of next month's Electronic Entertainment Expo--"purely speculative."

"I'm afraid the listing is purely speculative," a Sony representative told Polygon.

The product page lists The Last Guardian for the PlayStation 3. It also tells gamers to expect "the latest details" on the long-in-development game once the show begins in earnest on June 11.

The Last Guardian has made "slow progress" for years. Sony senior vice president of product development Scott Rohde said during E3 2012 that the game will ship "when it is absolutely ready." He also said Sony has no deadline whatsoever for the game.

Most recently, The Last Guardian creative director Fumito Ueda told gamers to "keep an eye out" for an official announcement on the game from Sony.

The Last Guardian was formally announced at the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo.
