The cat adventure game Stray, developed by BlueTwelve Studio and published by Annapurna Interactive, has expanded its availability to the Xbox platform, joining the existing PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. Stray is also slated for release on Mac.

Stray exploded on social media thanks to its moving story and accurate depiction of our furry friends. According to Steam250, it was the second-highest rated game on Steam in 2022, behind Vampire Survivors and just ahead of God Of War 2018. It was also nominated for many awards, including several BAFTAs.

In Stray, players inhabit the role of a stray cat tasked with unraveling an enigma to escape a cyber-city. The game world immerses players in designed alleys and settings within the city's underbelly. The cat's journey becomes intertwined with a flying drone named B-12, forming an unlikely duo that strives to navigate its way to freedom.

In GameSpot's Stray review, critic Alessandro Barbosa called the game a captivating puzzle adventure. "Its puzzles are routinely satisfying to solve and all work in service of a charming story with a satisfying conclusion, with the pacing only knocked slightly off by some slightly less than stellar combat scenarios in the first half," they wrote. "Thankfully, they're not prevalent enough to detract from the otherwise captivating adventure that Stray is, and that it tells a tale that will likely linger with you after the game's credits have rolled."
