Tales of Berseria Release Date, $150 Collector's Edition Revealed
The next game in Bandai Namco's Tales series releases January 24.
Tales of Berseria released in Japan earlier this year, but North American players will be able to get their hands on it early next year. Bandai Namco announced in a press release that the next entry in its JRPG series is coming January 24, 2017 for PS4 and PC.
Additionally, Bandai Namco revealed the $150 Collector's edition, which comes with a bunch of items including a steelbook case, chibi character figures, an 8-bit keychain set, and a CD of specially selected music. You'll also get a set of trading cards, a strategy guide, and a hardcover prequel novel titled, "A Witch's Tale: A World Full of Daemons." It's available for preorder now and can be seen in the gallery below.
The latest game in the Tales series features a system called Switch Blast, which has you designating a specific character to be the backup for another. This allows players to switch in a character that can continue fighting, which can be a big help if the character they're backing up can't perform any more actions.
If you want to see the game in action, you can watch a gameplay video that shows off Tales of Berseria's combat here.
