The Crush House Lets You Run A '90s Reality Show In A Barbie-Style Dream House

Just don't talk to the cast, apparently.

Comments

Devolver Digital and Nerial spent April Fools' Day (and every day since) teasing the studio's next project. Today, the two have finally announced The Crush House, a new reality show sim/potential horror game coming to PC later this year.

The Crush House puts players in the role of Jae, an up-and-coming TV producer who lands a dream job as the showrunner of the titular reality show. She has full control over the content of the show--so long as she agrees to never talk to the talent.

Players will choose cast members, set up scenes to appeal to the show's audience, and make money for the production company, which can then be used to upgrade the house. However, during the night, Jae can explore the house, speak with talent when the powers-that-be aren't around, and figure out its dark secrets.

This new reality-show-based project is the latest from Nerial, whose portfolio includes the simple monarchy sim Reigns and the card-game-themed adventure Card Shark. It joins Devolver's 2024 lineup across consoles and PC, which includes Pepper Grinder, The Plucky Squire, Anger Foot, and Skate Story.

The Crush House is scheduled to launch "later this year" on PC, with no mention of a console release as of this writing.
