The Division 2 can't be updated due to a system error, forcing the developer to delay season 11 once again.

Ubisoft announced last week that it was delaying season 11: Reign of Fire due to a localization issue that was impacting the experience for players, therefore moving the release from February 7 to an unspecified date. In a new Twitter post, the developer shared another update, but instead of confirming a new release date, it informed players that in the process of fixing the issue, an error has caused the build generation system to fail; making it impossible to update the game right now.

"This past Saturday, in the process of creating the update which would resolve the issue, we encountered an error that brought down the build generation system for The Division 2," the post reads. "As a result, we cannot update the game until the system has been rebuilt."

The developer explains that it would extend the previous season's activities due to the delay, but can't because of the current situation as it's "unable to make server or client side updates until the build generation system is restored."

"We are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. We have made good progress over the last 96 hours and have been able to restore critical aspects of the system and will share the timeline for resolution when available."

The developer adds that it will share details on its in-game compensation plan once the problem is fixed and will update players on any progress soon.

A post shared today confirmed that the developer will be taking servers down for unscheduled maintenance at 4 PM CET / 10 AM ET / 7 AM PDT. Maintenance is expected to last 3 hours.
