The Walking Dead Adds Three Regular Cast Members, New Season Six Artwork Revealed

With the next season of The Walking Dead due to begin next month, three of the last season's supporting cast have been promoted to series regulars.

The characters in question are all residents of Alexandria, the sealed town that Rick and his group took refuge in towards the end of season five, suggesting that they will be staying there a while longer. The Hollywood Reporter have revealed that actors Tovah Feldshuh (playing Deanna Monroe), Alexandra Breckenridge (Jessie Anderson) and Austin Nichols (Spencer Monroe) will all feature as regulars.

In addition, AMC have released some striking new key art for the upcoming sixth season of the hugely popular zombie drama, featuring star Andrew Lincoln:

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on Sunday, October 11. The fifth season recorded some of the highest viewing figures ever for a cable show, scoring a massive 17.3 million viewers for the season opener, making it the most watched series episode in cable history. The first episode for spinoff show Fear the Walking Dead also set a new record when it was broadcast last month, becoming the highest rated series debut ever.
