Following the reveal of its latest Deadlock Protocol update, which will hit PC this week, developer Digital Extremes has shared a spotlight for Warframe's 43rd character, Protea.

Protea is an incredibly aggressive and agile frame, equipped with various abilities perfect for offense and defense. Of the four she has--which include Blaze Artillery, Dispensary, and Grenade Fan--her penultimate ability, Temporal Anchor, records her movements in an alternate universe. This allows you to perform a series of moves before rewinding time back to your original position, which restores all her ammo, energy, health, and shields. Dying while in Temporal Anchor will forcefully rewind her and any benefits will not be granted. As such, Protea bears a few similarities to Overwatch's time specialist, Tracer.

Deadlock Protocol--which is a free update for all Warframe players and will eventually make its way to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One at an unspecified date--will re-imagine beloved environments and enhance existing boss fights, as well as introduce a new form of currency and much more.
