Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Co-op Campaign Gameplay Revealed
A new trailer, debuted at Summer Game Fest, shows off the hack-n-slash shooter's multiplayer mode
A new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment's upcoming hack-n-slash shooter, just dropped at Summer Game Fest. The trailer shows off the game's co-op campaign mode, which will support up to three players.
The game is a sequel to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, which released in 2011 to generally favorable reviews from critics. The original game did not feature a co-op campaign, though it did feature an online multiplayer mode.
The gameplay of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, showcased in the new trailer, looks to be very similar to that of the original game. You play in the third-person perspective, utilizing an arsenal of both ranged and melee weapons to take on massive swarms of Tyranids, the enemy insectile alien species of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
No further details were given on the specific mechanics of the co-op campaign of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The game is set to release this winter on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
