Update: Now we know exactly when to expect Season 3 of Cobra Kai on Netflix. The streaming service has announced the new season of episodes will arrive on January 8, 2021, just in time to kick off the new year in style with plenty of karate. That's not all, though. It's also been announced that Netflix has already renewed the series for Season 4. When will that arrive? There's no telling, but based on when Season 3 arrives, the next guess would likely be early 2022.

It's the question on all of our minds: Now that Cobra Kai Seasons 1 and 2 have arrived on Netflix, when will those of us who have been following the show since it debuted on YouTube Premium get to see Season 3? The popularity of the show has absolutely skyrocketed since arriving on the leading streaming platform. Now, though, we're all caught up and ready for more. Plus, in speaking to GameSpot, series star William Zabka teased some very exciting things to come for his character, Johnny Lawrence, that have us waiting with baited breath. Luckily, thanks to a new trailer, we now have some idea of when new episodes of Cobra Kai will hit Netflix.

Netflix released the trailer to not only promote the first two seasons but gives a first look at Cobra Kai Season 3, promising fans will get it in 2021. That's as specific as Netflix is getting at this point, but it's better than nothing.

As for the glimpse at Season 3 in the trailer, the first footage of Danial LaRusso's (Ralph Macchio) return to Okinawa, Japan is seen. Karate Kid franchise fans will remember Daniel traveled there with Mr. Miyagi in Karate Kid 2. Now, upon his return, Daniel is about to learn some serious secrets about his former sensei. We don't know what those are just yet, though.

What the trailer doesn't hint at the is for status Miguel (Xolo Maridueña), after he was left hospitalized in the Season 2 finale. At the time, Maridueña told GameSpot that he knows exactly where he hopes his character ends up. "I would love to always stick by Johnny's side. I think he really has his head in the right place and I love it," the actor said. "So, personally, I would love for him to stay on that side, but I don't even know what they're gonna do for next season."

You can stream the first two seasons of Cobra Kai on Netflix starting Friday, August 28. Then get ready because Season 3 is coming your way in 2021.
