Whoa Godzilla!
EA to do a Godzilla game that Psygnosis may have once considered.
Columbia-Tristar announced at the Toy Fair convention in New York last week that Electronic Arts will be producing a video game version of its upcoming big-budget Godzilla film. As many readers may know, the upcoming summer movie will be a reinterpretation of the Japanese series released over the years by Toho and features a radically redesigned monster invading New York City.
Representatives of Electronic Arts responded to word of the announcement with a firm "no comment."
Sources close to Psygnosis mentioned to GameSpot News today that an action/strategy title based on the line of Toho films had once been under consideration for the PlayStation and Nintendo 64, but was scrapped some time ago.
