Clash Of Champions 2020 Final Results: Drew McIntyre Has Some Help From WWE Legends

On the evening of September 27, WWE's Clash of Champions 2020 saw every title defended at the PPV, and the main event had some fantastic storytelling. Roman Reigns took on his cousin Jey Uso in a match for the Universal Championship. It was a slow-paced battle that featured Reigns talking a lot of trash, being an incredibly dominant heel. Also, Drew McIntyre battled Randy Orton in a vicious fight, which resulted in the loser getting taken away in an ambulance--which was actually the whole point of the match. And there were plenty of WWE Legends popping up during that bout. You can check out the full results for the WWE PPV below, along with just who helped McIntyre out.

We also just saw a dynamite ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. However, there were also a few mishaps, as the Kickoff Show confirmed the Women's Tag Team Championship and Smackdown Women's Championship matches would not happen because some competitors were not cleared to compete.

Clash of Champions took place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by the Thunderdome--WWE's Zoom-call-style audience. As for the card, Clash of Champions saw every championship title from Raw and Smackdown be defended. Below, you'll find the full card--even the two matches that were canceled last minute.

Kickoff Show

The Clash of Champions Kickoff Show has begun. If you saw the rumor above about Nikki Cross not being on tonight's show, we'll confirm it here if it is announced on the preshow. Additionally, all other important announcements will also be included below.

• Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, and Nikki Cross have not been medically cleared to compete, so the Women's Tag Match and the Smackdown Women's Championship match will not be happening tonight.

Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Lucha House Party (Smackdown Tag Team Championships)

For the majority of the match, Nakamura and Cesaro had the upper-hand. Dorado and Kalisto each had a couple moments to shine, but thus far, the champions dominated the first half of the match. Lucha House Party got on a little bit of a roll in the latter half of the match, but after Nakamura took out Dorado, the champions had no problem retaining their tag team championships.

Main Card

Jeff Hardy (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn (Ladder match for Intercontinental Championship)

The change from a Triple Threat to a Ladder Match was pretty recent, but extremely fitting for everyone involved in it. Both Hardy and Zayn's belts were hung above the ring prior to the start. As one can expect, this match is madness in the best way possible, and it's been great for Zayn. He eventually got both titles after handcuffing both AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy. The match of the night was the one that opened the show.

Zayn grabbed both titles and won.

Backstage:

Drew Gulak pins R-Truth for the 24/7 Championship

Asuka (c) vs. Zelina Vega (Raw Women's Championship)

Asuka wins and retains the Raw Women's Championship

Asuka offers Vega a handshake after the match, but Vega ends up kicking Asuka and attacking her.

Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Apollo Crews (United States Championship)

A great back-and-forth battle between the two competitors. It looked like Crews was going to pull out the win, but alas, Lashley submitted him in the end. And no, Ricochet did not turn heel and join the Hurt Business at the end of the match.

Lashley wins by submission.

The Street Profits (c) vs. Andrade and Angel Garza (Raw Tag Team Championships)

A fine match with the most bizarre ending. Ford went for a pin on Andrade and got his shoulder up at two, but the ref counted to three and called for the match. Ford looked a bit confused by this, but this could all be a work. There is already speculation this happened because Garza was injured.

Backstage:

Drew Gulak has his 24/7 Championship and does an interview. R-Truth showed up--still dressed as a prospector--hit Gulak with a metal bowl, and pinned him.

R-Truth is the 24/7 Champion once again.

Bayley comes to the ring. Her match with Nikki Cross was canceled as Cross has not been medically cleared to compete. Bayley is holding a chair. Surely, this chair will only be used for sitting in.

Bayley actually uses it to showcase the Smackdown Women's Championship. She holds an open challenge for the title--very quickly--then does quick victory lap. Then Asuka shows up and takes up Bayley on the callenge.

A last-minute match that had the potential to be fantastic; however, it ended with Bayley getting DQ'd and retaining her title because of the Champion's advantage.

Asuka wins, but Bayley retains.

After the match, Sasha Banks showed up and hit Bayley with a chair. The two battle and Banks goes to town on Bayley's back with a kendo stick.

Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton (Ambulance match for WWE Championship)

The Big Show appeared and put Orton through an announcer's table. Then, the Big Show--the world's largest athlete--snuck away. The ambulance had a red steel chair in it with a white cross on the seat. This is important information the world needs to know about.

Christian showed up backstage and beat up Orton. Later while Orton was standing on top of the ambulance, Shawn Michaels showed up and superkicked him. Huh? Why is this happening?

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Uso (Universal Championship)

It's been a slow-paced match focusing on trash-talking between the cousins and the commentary team pushing the story rather than a normal wrestling match. It's not a bad thing at all. It's just a bit more soap opera. Jey showed off some great moves as well, but this match was all about showing off Roman as a heel, and it worked exceptionally well. Jimmy came to the ring and threw in the towel, which gave Roman the win.
