Xbox One And PC's Adorable Ooblets Enters Early Access, Here's How To Get It For Cheap
Get Ooblets for as cheap as $10 on the Epic Games Store. It's also on sale on the Microsoft Store.
Ooblets, the chill life simulator developed by Glumberland, is finally available in Early Access on PC and Xbox One. You can pick it up for 20% off for the next week, slashing the price to $20. If you have any desire to play it, now is the time to make the purchase, even if you aren't planning to play it for the next several weeks.
The life simulator, which features little cute creatures called ooblets that assist you on your farm and other activities, is available from both the Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store. The game sees you living in a shack next to a farm, where you'll toil the soil to make money by selling crops. In addition to tending to your farm, you'll collect ooblets that will level up and dance with you (and against your opponents) to acquire seeds to plant on your farm. It's a cozy kind of experience that comes with little to no pressure.
It's worth noting Ooblets is in Early Access and the 20% off sale expires on July 23. If you still have a $10 Epic coupon leftover from the Epic Mega Sale earlier this summer, it'll be applied automatically on top of the existing discount at checkout, getting you Ooblets for just $10 instead of its $25 list price. The Xbox One version is available in Game Preview, which is similar to other Early Access programs, where it costs $20 instead of $25 right now.
We spent the last 4 years making this lil game about collecting creatures, farming, dancing, and other stuff—and it's finally out ðŸ˜

During PAX West last year, Epic announced that Ooblets would be exclusive to the Epic Games Store, alongside seven other games (like Superliminal and Wattam). Glumberland received thousands of "hateful, threatening" messages over the decision to go Epic Games Store exclusive. The studio offered an explanation for the decision, saying Epic would support them regardless of Ooblets' sales. The Epic Games Store offers a greater profit share for developers than Steam, leading several other publishers such as Ubisoft and THQ Nordic to publish PC titles as timed exclusives.
