Zack Snyder On If He'd Make A Marvel, DC, Or Star Wars Project

Zack Snyder worked with DC for many years, making movies like Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League, but that part of his life is now over, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Could he be drawn back at some point in the future?

He said if DC Studios co-head James Gunn made an offer, he might come back, but only for one specific project. He told the site that he might be coaxed to come back to make a Dark Knight Returns adaptation, but only if it's a "true representation of the graphic novel."

Snyder might also work with Marvel, he said, if he had a chance to make a Daredevil and Elektra movie. "But that's it," he said.

The director also commented on another gigantic franchise--Star Wars. He pitched an R-rated Star Wars movie back in 2012, and it never got off the ground. Would he try again? Don't bet on it.

"Nah, I don't think so," he said. "Those guys have a handle on the brand."

While Snyder's Star Wars movie never came together, he took the pieces of it and morphed it into the sci-fi Netflix movie Rebel Moon, which releases in December. A sequel is on tap for 2024.

In addition to his DC projects, Snyder is known for directing the movies Dawn of the Dead, 300, Sucker Punch, and Army of the Dead.
