Arx Fatalis takes place underground through tunnels and dungeons similar to the prime basic setup of Dungeons and dragons. The gore content is little but there a few spots in both graphics and storyline would require a little judgement before considering this game for the younger generation. Their are a few puzzles that will stump you for a little while nothing really too difficult that cant be figured out in a few hours (LOL). Let me start with the overall game play the controls were ok going threw the game understanding the magic combinations and physical attack combinations. Yes , you heard it right even though you are in a first person environment you need to learn combinations to enjoy magic spells but at least you can pre-cast and store up to 5 spells before you engage your enemy's. The key to this game to simplify your adventure is Ysidious armour as soon as you can acquire it and Harm spell will make this RPG so easy it can make it boring.
The sound and graphics can be simplified as average nothing to fantastic the creature detail is good nothing next generation. the environments and actions are ok. My value I placed on this game will be played it next. I will probably not pick this game up again until I have played every other game in my library.
Overall this game as an RPG is no Final Fantasy greatest RPG serious ever created and is what brought me into Video gaming in the first place. I need more Final Fantasy games please bring them to the BOX we are dying over here. Ok I feel better. This game should only be acquired from the bargain bin unfortunately ,not bad, but not great
