I was looking forward to Battlefield 1. WW1, despite the limited rifles, was a chance for Battlefield to go in a new direction, and I felt like they had the company to finally push out a great WW1 war game. Instead, it is an utter disappointment. Rifles that do no damage (I have shot people in the back of the head, to have them turn around) while utterly ridiculous weapons (people running and firing machine guns from the hip, pistols doing more damage than many rifles) dominate gameplay. It often feels more like a match of Overwatch than a serious WW1 setting. The only real redemption is that I didn't have to pay for it, and EA won't be getting more purchases from me.
