Great James Bond action stealth game.
Well, I was pleasantly surprised. It is actually a great stealth action game!
I don't want to spoil the story so I'll just say that the story is your typical Bond story with bad guys threatening to take over the world and kill lots of innocent people. It's not the best Bond story in my opinion but it serves its purpose taking Bond all across the globe on many exciting missions.
The graphics are pretty good. They did some great work on bringing the likeness of Daniel Craig into the game. The other characters look great as well. The environments are also very detailed. You'll travel around the world and every place you go to looks very authentic.
The gameplay is where this game really shines. It plays very similar to Splinter Cell Conviction. You use one button to takedown bad guys in a brutal stealth kill.
You can also take cover behind objects like the Gears of War series.
Shooting guns is also satisfying, you have your standard guns like the PP7 with or without silencer, MP5, AK47 and also shotguns, grenade launchers and many other machine guns and handguns.
You also have a mark and kill option (called Focus Aim) which was also in Splinter Cell Conviction. You can take out as much as 3 guys using this option but you'll have to take down enemies with a takedown to get points for using this ability.
James Bond also has a smartphone which can be used for many things like hacking computers, disabling cameras and you can also use it as a sort of enemy radar to see where your foes are hiding.
Every now and then you'll also be driving cars in extremely exciting car chases. This part of the game is also perfectly done. The cars handle well and there is all kinds of stuff blowing up making you really feel like you are in an awesome action scene.
The music in the game is the usual James Bond instrumental orchestra stuff and really brings out the James Bond feeling in the game. The voice acting was good although I wish they had put some more soul into it in some parts of the game. Daniel Craig and Judi Dench both did the voice of their characters.
There is also a Multiplayer mode but I wasn't interested in playing that since I'm more a coop person.
Although the game is practically a gameplay copy (with the exception of carchases) of Splinter Cell Conviction I really had a lot of fun with it. I have one advise begin on the second highest difficulty setting (the highest setting is 007 but you have to unlock it) since the game on normal is pretty easy. The stealth kills are very satisfying, the missions are varied and the car chase scenes are a blast.
PROS: Satisfying stealth action, exciting car chases, varied missions.
CONS: Copies a lot from Splinter Cell Conviction, weak story, occasional AI problems.
